Synopsis: A great deal of equality and diversity work is undertaken at the local level but often in an ad hoc fashion, leading to the potential for duplication of effort and a lack of opportunity to share good practice and learn from others. A Regional Strategy for Equality and Diversity is required in order to address this lack of understanding (or misunderstanding) of Equality and Diversity whilst ensuring a more joined up approach to embedding and delivering Equality and Diversity in the South West's 3rd sector.
