What is Clinks South West?
Welcome to the Clinks South West website. It is designed to help the Voluntary and
Community sector that work with offenders and their families. Clinks in the South
West has two principal aims. These are:
-
to develop practical new ways that will improve the range and quality of services
that are available to offenders living in or returning to the South West
-
to build appropriate partnerships, networks and other resources that will support
the voluntary and community sector to work in the new environment that NOMS creates
The information contained here will help to inform the sector of the current issues
both locally, regionally and nationally. It will also be a resource for linking with
other agencies and for identifying opportunities to build the capacity of the sector.
As a new resource it will be shaped by the feedback we receive from you its users.
Let us know what we do well and what we can do better; let us know what resources
you need to improve the services we all offer to offenders. Is there an unmet training
need? Is there a simple way of creating consortia of providers to offer innovative
and successful services?
We aim to share good practice and celebrate successes as well as informing all of
us of cautionary tales where we do not perhaps get it right.
Clinks is a member organisation owned and managed by the voluntary organisations who
join us. We do not provide services ourselves but empower others to do that for themselves.
We are consulted by Government and NOMS nationally as well as seeking to develop a
voice for the sector in the South West. If you want to explore and share in the benefits
of membership then click here.
Clinks offers a free service to providers as well as commissioners of services. Our
Working with Offenders Directory is accessible on this and the Clinks national website.
If you want your organisation to be included in the directory then please download
and return the Registration form. As we need a signature before we can make your data
available in the directory you cannot submit the form by email so please post it to
us using snail mail. Click here to
transfer to the relevant page on the Clinks site.
